The Look that Tells Apulia:

Art Oil - A Label

He saw her for the first time in a sunny square, while the sea breeze gently ruffled her long dark hair, moving like the waves of the Adriatic; the hoop earrings she was wearing swung to the rhythm of her words.
It wasn't just her beauty that captivated him, but that something that seemed to come from a bygone era, as if she carried with her the essence of all the women of Puglia in times gone by.

Her gestures were simple but elegant, her voice vibrated like a melody sung in the fields during the harvest.
She was a woman who knew the value of work, but also the pleasure of celebration.
The more he watched her, the more he got lost in her eyes, deep and warm like the red earth of Puglia.

In that moment he realised he had fallen in love, not only with her but with everything she represented.

The Big-Eyed Woman:

Oil in Art - B Label

It has only one big eye, because that way it can see everything; it sees the important things, like the sun that makes the tomatoes ripen, the wind that plays among the olive trees and the sea that tells stories to the fishermen.
Her blond hair is a tangle of curly locks, almost as if the sun had decided to take refuge there, creating an aura
of light.
Her stylised face, with a few bold lines, seems to dance on the paper.
There's no need to draw her completely, because you can recognise a woman from Apulia even from just one detail: a smile, a look, the way she ties her hair while she works.

The Apulia's Face

Oil in Art - C Label

The woman's face seems to emerge from the earth itself, a portrait that encompasses centuries of history and traditions.
Her closed eyes are reminiscent of the waves of the sea that caress the Apulian coast, mirroring the calm and strength of those who live with the wind as a companion.
Her skin is like the red earth of the fields, warmed by the sun and imbued with the scent of olive trees and vineyards.
This woman is not just a face, but the embodiment of Apulia.
She represents those industrious hands that weave baskets, gather fruit and mix flour and water to make orecchiette, a symbol of a cuisine that speaks of love and sharing.
Her expression is serene, but intense, as if she were harbouring a thousand stories.
Looking at her, you can feel Apulia breathing, in its details and its silences, in that unique mix of pride and simplicity that makes this land and its women unforgettable.

A bond that tastes of Apulia:

Oil in Art - D Label

Two hands shake, intertwining calluses, lines and stories.
They are hands that speak of earth and roots, hands that know the warmth of the Apulian sun and the scent of the salty wind; those hands, strong and generous, have picked olives from centuries-old olive trees.
In their gesture there is a pact, an alliance that unites nature and man, tradition and the future.
It is a greeting, a promise or, perhaps, a mutual thanks for the gifts of the earth: the golden oil that slides on bread, the tomatoes that explode with flavour under the sun, the vines that sing of hard work and abundance.
This handshake represents the beating heart of Apulia: a land that is experienced through the senses, where every product is the result of love, sweat and tradition handed down
through generations.
A bond that tastes of home and real life, enclosed in a simple gesture.

The Wind-Haired Girl

Oil in Art - E Label

Sitting on an old wooden chair in the courtyard, the little girl wasn't playing but thinking, shaking her head slightly and making her black, frizzy hair swing, which seemed to dance to the rhythm of an imaginary wind.
They were so many, so thick, that gathering them into that large low ponytail was almost an undertaking, but she liked to feel them moving behind her, as if they were hiding secrets to be revealed.
Her ears were adorned with large earrings in the shape of orange sweets, which swung every time she moved; they weren't real sweets, but she imagined they were and described them with pride: ‘They're as orange as the sunset and as sweet as honey,’ she always said with a smile.
That afternoon, the little girl wasn't playing, but thinking: she imagined herself as a princess, with a crown of flowers and a tower all of her own, and then she saw herself as a vet, ready to save the animals that populated her imagination. And sometimes she transformed into an artist, intent on painting life as she saw it: full of light and stories.
Every thought that crossed her mind was like a little journey to a different world, but they all started from the same place: her beloved Puglia.

The noblewoman from Salento:

Oil in Art - F Label

The scent of tobacco and jasmine seemed to float around her, mixing with the salty breeze that crossed the courtyard of her old home. She was sitting on a velvet-covered armchair, her black lacquered cigarette holder clenched between her fingers; a sinuous line of smoke rose from the cigarette towards the ceiling. Her gaze, framed by long black lashes, was magnetic, almost hypnotic. Her lips, as red as a summer sunset, seemed to utter promises never kept, while the hoop earrings, studded with small diamonds, sparkled with every movement. The white fur wrapped around her neck with a grace that spoke of worldliness, but also of a deep rootedness in tradition. She had inherited not only the beauty, but also the regal bearing of her ancestors, aristocratic Apulian women of the past. As she sipped a glass of red wine from her vineyard, her thoughts wandered among the green hills and ancient olive trees, symbols of a land she loved passionately. Even in her sophistication, one sensed a soul that belonged to Puglia: a land rich in contrasts, where strength and beauty coexist in perfect harmony.
