The big-eyed woman:

She has only one big eye, because that way she sees everything; she sees the important things, like the sun that makes the tomatoes ripen, the wind that plays among the olive trees and the sea that tells stories to the fishermen. Her blond hair is a tangle of curly scribbles, almost as if the sun had decided to take refuge there, drawing an aura of light.
Her stylised face, with few bold lines, seems to dance on the paper.
There's no need to draw her in full, because a woman from Puglia can be recognised even from just one detail: a smile, a look, the way she ties her hair while working.
